Start of the Dance Triennial with a dance parade
On Sunday, June 14, Hamburg becomes a dance floor. The spectacular City Parade kicks off the 8-day Hamburg Dance Triennial. Under the motto “Brave Moves. Courageous Joy,” more than 550 dancers bring a wide variety of dance styles to the streets—from hip-hop and salsa to roller skate performances, Bollywood, and contemporary dance. Dance is celebrated as an expression of community, courage, and joie de vivre.
Along the route, there are various spots to watch, including the Museum der Arbeit, Hufnerstraße, Wiesendamm, Saarlandstraße, and the Stadthallenbrücke by the Modellbausee. The KILOMBO SUN Festival brings African and Latin American culture to Wilhelmsburg this weekend. At the Honigfabrik on June 12 and 14, you’ll experience a colorful program of music, dance, art, and delicious food —all completely free. On Friday, the festivities kick off at 5 p.m. with an open-air rumba party. DJs will keep the energy high with Afrobeats, salsa, cumbia, and many other sounds, plus there will be live performances, art, and a vibrant market. On Sunday, there’s something for the whole family: enjoy live music, dance shows, a kids’ program, a fashion show, and plenty of creative hands-on activities.

On Friday, June 12, The Streets kick things off: Mike Skinner brings his cult album “A Grand Don’t Come for Free” to Germany for the first time with his project and is considered a defining voice of British hip-hop in the 2000s with his honest mix of rap and garage. On Saturday, June 13, Max Herre & Joy Denalane will take the stage—two exceptional artists who have been shaping the German music scene for over 25 years with soul, hip-hop, and impressive solo and band projects. The BEAT concert on Sunday, June 14, has been canceled for production-related reasons.
Neighborhood Festival in Uhlenhorst
Uhlenhorst is in the mood to party this weekend! At the popular street festival, Hofweg and Papenhuder Straße turn into a lively promenade full of summer vibes and good energy.
Look forward to a varied program featuring street food from around the world, relaxed chill-out and lounge areas, as well as music from DJs and small live acts that will get the entire neighborhood moving. The Long Day of City Nature Hamburg invites you on June 13 and 14 to rediscover nature in Hamburg and the entire metropolitan region. Under the motto “Everything Flows,” over 200 events centered on water, rivers, and life in and around bodies of water take center stage. Whether it’s canoe tours, guided walks through parks and gardens, dip-net fishing, or nighttime bat excursions —everywhere offers exciting insights into the flora and fauna. The festival is organized by the Loki Schmidt Foundation together with numerous partners and brings nature to life right in the heart of the city.
Elbsommer 2026

From June to August 2026, Elbsommer will enliven Hamburg’s HafenCity with a diverse weekend program: On Saturday, June 13, Piratensommer in Grasbrookpark will offer a colorful family program featuring games and maritime activities, while Sunset Sound at Strandkai will feature live music in a relaxed evening atmosphere right on the Elbe. On Sunday, June 14, things take a more leisurely turn—including yoga by the water at Kirchenpauerkai and guided walks in Rothenburgsort. The program is complemented by athletic activities such as disc golf in Kaltehofe. Elbsommer combines exercise, music, and relaxation amidst Hamburg’s summery harbor backdrop. Flea Market on the Michelwiese

It’s considered one of the most beautiful: the flea market on the Michelwiese. Several times a year, the path from St. Michael’s Church along the plane-tree-lined avenue down to the Elbe transforms into a lively market where you can discover all sorts of treasures. From fashion to jewelry to vinyl, there’s something for every taste. Culture around St. Michael’s meets nature and a beautiful view of the Elbe. Hamburg Motorcycle Church Service (MOGO)

It’s that time of year again: The annual, now legendary church service for bikers is coming up. In Hamburg , the “Highway to Hell” symbolically becomes the “Highway to Heaven” – at MOGO, the motorcycle church service at St. Michael’s. The focus is on sending a strong message for greater consideration, respect, and community in traffic and in everyday life. In 2026, the day at St. Michael’s begins with a diverse program of events on the forecourt, accompanied by music, conversations, food, and socializing. At 2 p.m., the main service will follow, led by Pastor Ulrike Egener with musical accompaniment by Voice-Feuer, organ, and saxophone. As is tradition, the remembrance of the deceased with the “Lights of Hope” plays an important role, as does the personal blessing for the bikers. The day will conclude with live music and a festive atmosphere in Bornhöved.
