Das nordamerikanische Nachrichtenmagazin Newsweek hat eine Rangliste der 250 Krankenhäuser der Welt erstellt, die die fortschrittlichsten Technologien am besten nutzen. 3 davon befinden sich in Hamburg.
Corona hat alle Krankenhäuser, Kliniken und Gesundheitseinrichtungen der Welt auf den Prüfstand gestellt, wie sie seit Jahrzehnten nicht mehr. Jetzt, wo die Impfbemühungen auf Hochtouren laufen und die unmittelbare Krise scheinbar überwunden ist, hat die populäre US-Wochenzeitung Newsweek ein Ranking erstellt, um die besten Krankenhauseinrichtungen der Welt anhand ihrer Integration der fortschrittlichsten Technologien zu bewerten.
Das Ranking basiert auf einer Umfrage von Statista, die Empfehlungen für Krankenhäuser in fünf Kategorien beinhaltete: Digitale Chirurgie, digitale Bildgebung, künstliche Intelligenz, Telemedizin und elektronische Krankenakten. Diese Empfehlungen kamen sowohl aus nationalen als auch aus internationalen Quellen.
Einundzwanzig deutsche Krankenhäuser sind unter den Besten gelistet, drei davon befinden sich in Hamburg. Es sind das Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf auf Platz 91, das Agaplesion Diakonieklinikum Hamburg auf Platz 146 und die Martini-Klinik am UKE auf Platz 233. Laut Newsweek sind sie führend in der Nutzung neuester Gesundheitstechnologien und „die, die man beobachten sollte.“
