The weekend is sacred to all of us, and we want to make it as enjoyable as possible here in the Hanseatic city. A metropolis like Hamburg naturally offers an impressive variety of things to do all year round, but what are the highlights for the coming weekend? We’ll bring you the best weekend tips every week so you don’t miss out on any great events!
Creative and Baking Fair

From October 23 to 25, the hearts of all creative minds and baking enthusiasts will beat faster at the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen!
Grab your loved ones and dive into a world full of new DIY trends, colorful fabrics, yarn, accessories, and hands-on workshops. And best of all: you’ll get a double dose of inspiration! At the integrated cake fair, you can discover professional-grade supplies, fondant tricks, and the latest cake decorations. Watch real cake design pros at work or simply pick up fresh ideas for your own kitchen.
Hella Hamburg Half Marathon 2026
The time has finally come: The hella hamburg half marathon takes place this Sunday, October 25! Instead of a sweltering summer heatwave, this time we’ll have cool fall weather—perfect for setting new personal bests on the asphalt. And if you’re not running, you’re warmly invited to cheer from the sidelines! With a whopping 21,000 runners, the event is even breaking a new participation record. As always, the race starts on the Reeperbahn, before the finish line awaits right at the TV Tower.
Important info: Due to the parade route, many streets will be closed starting in the morning. Traffic will resume at 2:30 p.m. So it’s best to switch to the U-Bahn and S-Bahn!

If you’re in the mood for an immersive art experience this weekend, you can experience Claude Monet’s fascinating landscapes in a whole new way at the Port des Lumières in Hamburg. Works such as “The Garden at Giverny,” “Sunrise,” and his famous Water Lilies series are brought to life on a grand scale through impressive 360° projections. Accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack and dynamic storytelling, you’ll be immersed in the luminous world of the French Impressionist in a truly captivating way—right in the middle of it, rather than just standing in front of it.
Morning Techno

Techno beats instead of the snooze button! Just shake off that sleepiness and kick off your weekend in a whole new way. Whether you still have work to do on Friday or you’re already off: You’ve definitely never started your day like this before (at least not after a full night’s sleep). This musical warm-up will help you wake up, get your muscles moving, and kick off the day feeling great. You decide how hard you want to go. Morning Techno is anything but an ordinary morning routine!
Jazz Fusion with Joshua Milo
With his 7-piece live band, Joshua Milo proves just how captivating jazz can be. Together with his crew, the keyboardist and frontman of TILAR takes you on a musical roller coaster ride—from Mario Kart vibes to explosive energy and magical silence.
No wonder this exceptional musician, who has already performed with international stars, is also a hit online: on Instagram and TikTok, his humorous videos reach an audience of millions. A live experience full of interaction, unexpected twists, and collective euphoria—absolutely danceable and definitely not just for die-hard jazz fans!

If you’re looking for a completely different experience in Hamburg this weekend, “The Jury Experience” at EMPORIO Hamburg is the perfect place for you. Become part of a courtroom drama where you’ll take on the role of a juror—and have to deliver the verdict yourself. At the center of it all is a spectacular case: a $20 million necklace belonging to pop icon Lana Tonneti has suddenly gone missing, and her former chauffeur is under suspicion. But the more testimonies and evidence come to light, the more questions arise. Listen closely, examine the evidence, and decide for yourselves in the end: guilty or not guilty? Drama, multimedia effects, and gripping storytelling come together to create a trial unlike any other.
Winter Deck
The winter season kicks off on October 21 on the stage at Spielbudenplatz: The Winterdeck transforms into a rustic cabin with a crackling fireplace, cozy seating, and a unique view of the neighborhood bustle.
Thanks to even more covered areas, you’re guaranteed to stay dry—even in Hamburg’s lousy weather. The bar team will serve you hot and cold winter drinks like the “Bordsteinschwalbe” or the “Nussknacker.” A winter oasis right in the heart of St. Pauli—perfect for taking a deep breath and getting in the mood for the launch of SANTA PAULI on November 9!
fluctoplasma Festival
depending on ticket category
The fluctoplasma Festival is celebrating its 7th anniversary—and is really going all out at the end of October! Under the theme “humanity in (dis)solution,” more than 50 different events await you over four days, featuring a colorful mix of art, live music, theater, and thought-provoking talks.
Here, it’s all about genuine solidarity and diversity: Voices from the queer, Jewish, and Bi_PoC communities will get the big stage they deserve. It all kicks off on October 22 at 6 p.m. at the University of Music and Theater with a live performance by singer Madanii.

This weekend, a new highlight kicks off at the Port des Lumières: “Asterix & Obelix – An Immersive Adventure” whisks you away to the famous Gallic village and lets you become part of the legendary comic! Together with the two heroes, you’ll embark on a wild quest for Miraculix—from Lutetia through Egypt all the way to the heart of Rome. Oversized projections, captivating surround sound, and the familiar Roman brawls bring the comic world to life. A massive spectacle full of humor, action, and nostalgia for fans of all ages.
Discover The Dreck at Molotow
Grab your crew and hit the dance floor! At Molotow, the clock is turned back—literally. (Thanks to the time change, you can dance for an extra hour)… to the best catchy hits of the ’90s and 2000s: From Britney, the Backstreet Boys, and the Spice Girls to Avril Lavigne, Eminem, and Tokio Hotel, all the way to Depeche Mode and The Killers. Get ready for a huge dose of nostalgia, sugar-sweet euphoria, and pure party vibes.
Indoor Flea Market

Looking for some new favorite finds? Then come to the indoor flea market at the Goldbekhaus this Sunday! During the cold months, relaxed browsing simply moves indoors: the hall and the stage facing the courtyard become a cozy paradise for vintage treasures and sustainable finds. Just the thing for lousy weather and for anyone who prefers to stay warm while shopping.
