Few films have produced as many unforgettable melodies as The Wizard of Oz. Pieces like “If I Only Had a Brain” give the characters a voice and show that music is at the heart of this story – full of hope, wit and magic.
At this special candlelight concert, you can experience the music of this classic in a new way. A string quartet interprets highlights such as “Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard” in a beautiful, classical arrangement. Wrapped in warm candlelight, the evening will transport you to the Land of Oz for 60 minutes.
Candles, music and a touch of movie magic – that’s all you need for an unforgettable evening. Together with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, Candlelight is bringing the exclusive Wizard of Oz tribute concert to Hamburg and transforming the Mozart Halls into a sparkling sea of lights.
There is no special dress code, but if you feel like it, you are welcome to be inspired by the movie and wear your best ruby red shoes, for example. The concert lasts 60 minutes and admission begins around 45 minutes before the start. It is worth arriving early, as places within the individual categories are allocated freely.
