A night for the history books
An extraordinary evening deserves an extraordinary line-up. Co-directed by Pharrell and Bocelli as executive producers, the concert brings together the gospel choir Voices of Fire, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, Clipse, Angélique Kidjo and an international choir of 250 voices, as well as the choir of the Diocese of Rome for a truly impressive program. The renowned producer Adam Blackstone is responsible for the musical direction.
But the musical acts do not stop there. A spectacular drone and light show, inspired by the Sistine Chapel and developed by Nova Sky Stories, also complements the program. More than 3,000 drones and an artistic light show will transform the sky over Rome into a moving work of art. The event is free to the public on site and will also be broadcast live on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News Live from 9pm.
The show will be the grand finale of the third World Meeting for Human Fraternity. For two days, international leaders, Nobel Laureates and activists from around the world will gather in Rome to discuss major global challenges and seek ways to bring humanity closer together. For the grand finale of the event, St. Peter’s Square will be transformed into a unique live music stage.
Pharrell Williams, John Legend and more – top acts come together
When Pharrell Williams, John Legend and Andrea Bocelli perform together on one stage, you can prepare yourself for an unforgettable evening. Pharrell, who wrote global chart history with hits such as “Happy” and regularly shapes the pop and R&B landscape as a producer, meets John Legend, who has not only won Grammy and Oscar awards, but has also thrilled millions worldwide with classics such as “All of Me”. Andrea Bocelli, on the other hand, is considered one of the greatest tenors of our time and stands for the combination of classical music and pop like no other.
Their joint performance in the heart of the Vatican is far more than just a concert – it is a cultural event that unites generations and musical styles and sends out a message of unity and hope.
The event, supported by Cardinal Mauro Gambetti and the Fratelli Tutti Foundation, aims to make the principle of fraternity tangible through the universally understandable language of music.
However, those who “only” look at the concert program or the drone show quickly overlook the actual core of this historic event. The World Meeting for Human Fraternity invites us to explore the question of what it means to be human in our time – in the midst of conflicts, loneliness, new forms of poverty, ecological crises and the challenges of technological change. This special forum sees itself as a space for dialog, mutual exchange and the development of new perspectives of hope. It is open to all who wish to participate.
A night that will make history and a show that you should not miss – because it is still uncertain whether an event of this magnitude will ever take place again in a place as significant as St. Peter’s Square.
