Social Design Week
From June 16 to 22, the Social Design Week will take place in Hamburg under the motto “Creating Community”. The Design Zentrum Hamburg will be the central point of contact with an exhibition, workshops, talks and a community café. In addition, satellite events spread across the city – from walks to hands-on activities – invite you to experience social design in the urban space. Best of all, most of the events are free! Just remember to register in advance.

From May to August, the “Planten un Blomen” park is transformed into a stage for spectacular water concerts. Every day between 4 and 6 pm, you can experience the water features in their pure form – without any music or light. In the evening, the real highlight follows: the colorful water light concerts with coordinated music and light show. From classical arrangements such as Pomp and Circumstance to themed pieces such as Japan by night or Carnival of the Animals, there is something for every mood. A good read in the fresh air – if you don’t feel like reading the whole book yourself, here’s a great alternative! For over 30 years, the Hamburger ZIEGEL reading stage has been offering the opportunity to attend exciting open-air readings at which local and international authors present their best texts. Two of these special readings will take place in Hamburg again in June and August. Award-winning authors such as Kristine Bilkau and Anselm Neft as well as musicians such as Hannes Wittmer will present their works.

The Dialoghaus also offers many other experiences in which you can discover your senses in a new way. “Dinner in the Dark” enchants you with culinary delights, while “Adventure of the Senses” puts your senses to the test in a variety of ways. “Time Shift” lets you solve exciting puzzles in the dark. And “Kids in Dialogue ” takes children on a playful journey of discovery through senses, emotions and social diversity.

Celebrate for a good cause! On June 22, LUPILA AIR 2.0 will take place, where techno and house lovers can really party.
