From November 5, you can immerse yourself in the age of the Vikings in Hamburg’s Hall 7 in Altona-Nord . Vikings – Explorers and Conquerors is a new immersive experience that brings the legendary world of the Vikings to life. The latest VR technology, 360° projections, light, sound and Nordic songs make history tangible in a unique way: Roam through misty forests full of runes and mysterious signs, listen to the call horn and discover Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Experience the life, rituals and way of thinking of the Vikings at first hand.
What can you expect at “Vikings – Explorers and Conquerors”?
The exhibition tells the saga of the warrior queen Aslaug, wife of the legendary Ragnar Lodbrok. It takes you on her epic journey through love, power, war and legacy and shows how Aslaug rises to become the Warrior Queen. The focus is on an immersive show: 360° projections, Nordic music, interactive narratives and virtual reality experiences bring myths and history to life. One highlight is the VR world tree Yggdrasil, which takes you directly into Norse mythology. From stormy seas to burning skies, from ancient rituals to archaeological discoveries – facts, legends and magic merge here to create an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
