The 18th edition of the MS Dockville Festival takes place this weekend, August 15-16! Since 2007, Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg has been transformed into a colorful festival world every year. While only around 5,000 visitors came to the premiere, the festival now attracts up to 60,000 people – spread over several days. An atmospheric harbor backdrop, impressive stages against an industrial backdrop and artistic light installations – all this and much more awaits you at what is probably the city’s largest open-air music festival, where music and art merge in an unmistakable way.
Of course, there are also larger events in Hamburg if you count all types of events – such as the Hamburger DOM folk festival or the Hafengeburtstag harbor birthday with millions of visitors. Just recently, Hamburg Pride attracted around 260,000 people to the city. And with new projects such as the already opened Westfield shopping center or the largest digital art museum in Europe, Hamburg is becoming even more attractive for visitors from all over the world. But if you only talk about music festivals, the MS Dockville is clearly the biggest in the city!

Everything you need to know about MS Dockville 2025
The timetable for this year’s festival is finally out! Find out when and where you can party at MS Dockville 2025 here. Friday kicks off with a mix of indie, pop and electronic sounds and the DJ line-up impresses with names like RAYE, The Last Dinner Party, Royel Otis and Paula Carolina. Between the best beats and the sunset, you can party at a unique location – on an unprotected flood plain between the dyke and the Elbe, which gives the festival a very special touch.
On Saturday, things will get really intense: a line-up that will take you on a journey from big emotions to dark vibes. Sigrid, Lola Young, Peter Doherty, Ekkstacy, Levin Liam and Jassin – on the floors X Club, Malugi, Anja Schneider and many more. In addition to the finest sounds, you can look forward to art, workshops, slam & gimmicks all over the grounds.

Over 100 acts on 10 stages and more than 150 program items – including art, readings and workshops. Over 50 works of art and murals transform the festival area into a walk-in open-air gallery, which traditionally runs under the name MS ARTVILLE. An incomparable vibe is created, to which awareness concepts and retreat areas also contribute.
A unique festival feeling awaits you at the MS Dockville: unlike ordinary festivals, it offers an unmistakable harbor backdrop where music is complemented by curated art. In addition to the headliners, you can also look forward to many newcomers and “hidden gems”. You can still get tickets – preferably directly via the festival’s official website!
