The sister duo Funda and Yasemin agreed: this area urgently needs a place with a breath of fresh air for young people. Of course, Hamburg has a lot to offer in terms of gastronomy – from trendy superfood smoothie bars to Italian restaurants like Napoli and Japanese
gems. But a place where vintage treasures and the finest matcha creations come together in such a loving atmosphere has been missing until now. Since May 2025, the store x café “Concept 55” has opened its doors in Langenhorn – and we would like to tell you all about this special new addition!
A place full of style, aromatic coffee, creative matcha specialties, vintage and second-hand treasures and lots of good vibes! Concept 55 presents itself on two floors with a modern, clean interior that immediately invites you to linger. A stylish bar awaits you on the first floor, where your physical well-being is catered for with great attention to detail. Directly in front of it, a large communal table invites you to enjoy your drink or snack in a relaxed atmosphere – perfect for striking up a conversation with new people and making real connections. As you sample the delicious creations, you’ll be surrounded by carefully selected vintage clothing that adds to the special charm of the place. The discovery tour continues on the second floor: here you will find more unique pieces, lovingly crafted jewelry from one of the two sisters, trendy sunglasses, stylish caps with cool statements – and so much more. A real highlight for anyone who loves something special.
It’s not just the shopping selection in the Store x Café that is impressive – the bar is also one highlight after another. Matcha, probably the world’s most popular drink at the moment, is not only served here in the classic way, but with a special twist: whether as a Matcha Strawberry or a refreshing Mango Strawberry on Ice – the colorful drinks are not only absolutely “Instagram-worthy”, they also taste really good. Especially in summer, fruity creations such as the tangy raspberry lemonade are the perfect way to cool down, while the Dragonfruit Matcha gives you the ultimate energy boost.
But Concept 55 doesn’t just quench your thirst, it also satisfies your hunger. Delicious cake pops with a juicy filling and creamy icing literally melt in your mouth. And of course, ice cream is also a must: For example, try the homemade matcha vanilla ice cream in hot milk – an interplay of hot, cold and simply heavenly – or the melt-in-the-mouth pistachio ice cream with a creamy strawberry and coconut topping. For those with a bigger appetite, there are also handmade sandwiches, including the delicious grilled cheese panini with homemade tomato butter, perfectly combined with a refreshing homemade iced tea.
